# How to find and join the event website (web app)

Learn more on joining your event through a web browser.

> **Info:** **_Disclaimer_**_: The web app is made for laptops, notebooks, tablets, and other bigger devices. If you are a mobile user, we strongly suggest you get the Eventee mobile app (we provide native_ [_iOS_](https://help.eventee.com/en/articles/17-how-to-get-the-eventee-app-ios.md) _and_ [_Android_](https://help.eventee.com/en/articles/55-how-to-get-the-eventee-app-android.md) _apps). Your experience will be much better._

The Eventee web app is browser-based, which means it runs on internet browsers. This allows you to access the event without downloading the app. 

## **Join with an invitation**

This is the **easiest** **way** to access your event's website. 

Open your **web** **browser**, head over to your email, and search for the name of your event. You should find an invitation from [no-reply@eventee.co](mailto:no-reply@eventee.com)[m](mailto:no-reply@eventee.com). The button in the invitation will take you to your event.

> **Info:** If you wish to access the event's website, you **need** to open the invitation on a **computer**. If opened on a phone, it will always open the mobile application.

## **Join without invitation**

If you don't have the invitation or any other link from the organiser about the event, you'll need to **find it manually**. The very **best** **way** is with the internet **search** **tool** (Google, Bing, etc):

-   Open your preferred search tool and search for ‘\[Your event’s name\] + ‘Event Eventee’’. In our case, we searched for **Activating** **Leadership**.
    

> **Info:** **"Can't I just go to eventee.com, log in, and find my event there?"**
>
> Unfortunately, the main Eventee site is for **organisers only**. You can still contact [our support](mailto:support@eventee.com) to find the event for you, but you won't find it there on your own.

If you found it, simply open the site and click on the **button** in the **upper** **right** **corner** to continue to your event.

If a site with a login opens, then congratulations, you have **arrived** at **your** **event**! Depending on the [event setting](https://help.eventee.com/en/articles/70-how-to-access-a-private-event-web-app.md), you might need to **login** **first**.

_Logging in, but the event requires a_ **_PIN_** **_code_** _or says that you are_ **_not_** _on the_ **_allowlist_**_? In that case, it's a_ [_private event_](https://help.eventee.com/en/articles/70-how-to-access-a-private-event-web-app.md)_, and you might need to contact the organiser to find out more._

When you join the event for the first time, you will go through the **onboarding flow**. Based on the settings configured by the event organizer, onboarding consists of several steps:

1.  **“Welcome” screen**

2.  **"How are you attending?" screen**
    

-   This screen appears if the event is hybrid. You can select whether you are attending “**In person”** or “**Virtually”**. You can change your selection at any time by tapping **More → Virtual event mode**.

3.  **"Set up your profile" screen**
    

-   In the final step of onboarding, you can add details about yourself. This information helps with networking, allowing other attendees to learn about you and decide whether to connect.
